This is an app which do a real simple thing : rewrite your badly formatted phone numbers of your contact in your address book, to the “universal” international format – making them not only cleaner, but directly usable on your phone almost anywhere in the world, so with a “+” followed by the country code.
I’ve developed the app a few years ago for my own need , and still find it useful, so it might be for you too.
Everything is processed locally on your computer – no data is send anywhere.
How to use it
The app is really basic, without any fancy design. When you launch it, a window open with 2 pop menu :
- One is the “country” menu – it’s the code which will be added to phone numbers which are lacking one. By default, we select one associated with the language selected by your computer, but you can change it here. Just scroll the long list to find your country.
- the second one is the “subgroup”, which allow to process only a subgroup of your address book. Come in handy when you know people from different countries and thus need to apply different default country code.
If your numbers already have the international extension, they will just be rewritten if needed ( like adding the “+” sign ).
