Pourquoi diable ?
Lorsque vous effectuez un appel international, vous devez indiquer à la compagnie de téléphone que le numéro composé n’est pas local. Vous composez donc un préfixe, puis l’indicatif du pays, et enfin le numéro de téléphone. Jusque-là, rien de spécial. Mais, malgré la norme internationale établie par l’UIT, qui recommande d’utiliser 00 comme préfixe international, certains pays utilisent encore d’autres codes tels que 011 (États-Unis et filiales) ou des codes plus exotiques comme 000, 001, 0011, 119, 810 etc… C’est un grand bordel et une situation désolante.
La solution au problème
Mais il y a une ruse : la norme GSM (tous les appels téléphoniques mobiles) permet d’utiliser le signe + (signe plus) comme préfixe international universel. Et comme la plupart des appels téléphoniques sont bien sûr numériques par nature, la plupart des opérateurs téléphoniques permettent maintenant d’utiliser le préfixe « + » même en utilisant un téléphone « ligne fixe », et même pour les appels locaux.
C’est donc une évidence : vous devez sauvegarder une fois pour toutes vos numéros de téléphone dans votre carnet d’adresses / gestionnaire de contacts en utilisant la convention + : préfixez tous les numéros de téléphone avec l’indicatif du pays + et supprimez le préfixe local (généralement 0).
